Before the Date

Grooming and cleanliness
If you’re happy with showering once a year and cleaning your toenails once a decade, good for you.  Just know that your date won’t last if you make no effort to make yourself more attractive.  Truth is, you probably won’t get past the flirting and pick up stage if you don’t maintain a neatly groomed, clean appearance, but assuming that you did, make sure that you go the extra mile for your date.

Take a shower.  Brush your teeth.  Clip and clean your fingernails.  Wear freshly washed clothing.  If you suffer bad breath, keep some breath mints handy. Pull out those nasal hairs!  Do what you must to make yourself clean and neat.
Cologne
If you can, find a nice and popular cologne to wear, but don’t overdo it.  You want the smell to be subtle, not strong.  What cologne is the right one to wear?  If it’s a cheapy, forget it.  You want cologne that advertises you are the man and the best way to pick it is to find a female service assistant to help you.  Ask her what her favorite is and the one she tells you will probably be the one to go for.  Just be sure that you never spray cologne directly on yourself.  Spray it in the air, and walk through the spray in the air only once to have it lightly fall on you.  One spray is always enough!
Your physical shape
You don’t need to have a six pack, and it doesn’t matter if you are overweight.  What matters is who you are.  But, if you’re not looking for a long term relationship and you’re just looking to flirt and pick up a girl here and there for a “good time”, then your physical body certainly becomes a contributing factor to your success.  Get the edge by keeping yourself in good shape.

There’s no need to become the next Arnold Schwarzenegger.  You might be surprised to know that big muscles aren’t that attractive to most women. More often than not a fit, nicely toned body is what most women would rather see on their man.  This is good for you, because you don’t have to spend endless hours in the gym and endless dollars on buying muscle building supplements.  In fact, a half hour walk everyday and a few pushups here and there can be more than enough.
